Marcel Duchamp challenged the idea of the icon- and DaVinci's Mona Lisa certainly is!

Duchamp took a postcard version of this painting adding a goatee thus calling it a "ready-made" piece of art.  Many artists since have reconfigured this painting- as we have as well.
